Town of Cassian - We now know for certain Kaye and Mark Juel died in yesterday's house fire near Harshaw. The Oneida County Sheriff's Office confirmed they were inside the burned home on Partridge Lane in the Town of Cassian. The two were involved members of the Oneida County community, and we spoke with both Kay and Mark on Newswatch 12 in the past. Kaye was the Oneida County Jail administrator. Mark was a Iraq war veteran who served two decades in the military. Visitation for Mark and Kaye will be held Monday Feb. 18, from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home in Rhinelander. The funeral will be at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harshaw on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. Oneida County Sheriff Grady Hartman says, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic and sudden loss of Kaye and her husband Mark. All of the employees in the Sheriff's Office value and honor all of those who have served us in the public safety community and our thoughts and prayers will remain with Kaye and Mark and their families and many friends." We still don't know the cause of the fire. A preliminary investigation found no signs of criminal activity, and foul play is not suspected at this time.
