Rhinelander - Oneida County can call Grady Hartman its new Sheriff. The Governor's office made the move official Tuesday.

Hartman started with the Sheriff's Office in 1994 as a patrol officer.

In 1999, he became the youngest patrol sergeant in Oneida County history.

Hartman is a member of the Rhinelander School Board and a Town of Crescent supervisor.

He replaces former Sheriff Jeff Hoffmann, who retired in December.
