MADISON - Former Merrill Blue Jay Paul Jesperson was back in his home state. Jesperson is a sophomore starting guard for the Virginia Cavaliers basketball team.

Virginia took on the Badgers as part of the ACC - Big Ten Challenge.

It was also home-coming for Former UW-Green Bay star and Badger assitant Tony Bennett.

Jesperson had a tough night. He did not score in the game or any assists. He finished with 3 rebounds and 2 fouls in 24 minutes of action.
Virginia had the lead in the first half. Joe Harris scored a game-high 22 points. Wisconsin trailed by one at the break. Ben Brust led the Badgers with 15 points.

Badgers fell 60-54. Marisa Silvas has more from Madison.
