La Crosse - Matt Harter became La Crosse's youngest mayor three years ago when he was elected at age 24. Now he says one term might be enough.
He says he needs to experience ``a normal job'' in the private sector before deciding whether he wants a career in politics.
Friday he said the community is better off with a different mayor for the next four years.
Harter ran as a conservative and pledged to hold the line on taxes, which he did. But he sometimes clashed with the council, which overrode 22 of his 28 vetoes.
