- On Tuesday we reported the Mosinee Area Action Club was seeking help and donations to send a 53-foot semi-trailer full of relief supplies to the coast of New Jersey.
Well, through the community, businesses, churches, and the Lions Club, they met that goal-- Packing the truck full of essentials
"We saw, lots of food and lots of cleaning supplies, lots of baby items which we feel is very important, and just things that people in that condition could really use... I think we all have a moral responsibility to do what in our capabilities we can to make life more acceptable for those people," said James Hansford, the original organizer of the semi full of supplies.
Roehl transport of Marshfield donated the semi-truck, a driver, and the cost of fuel to deliver the supplies to the New Jersey Community Food Bank.
The semi left Mosinee just after 6 am this morning, and stopped in Elkhorn to pick up even more supplies before heading out east.
