Madison - Senator Scott Fitzgerald will lead state Republicans again.
The Republican from Juneau served as Senate majority leader during most of the last two-year session. He lost the post after Democrats seized control of the chamber in June's recall elections.
But Republicans re-captured the majority in Tuesday's elections. They met Thursday to pick their leaders and unanimously elected Fitzgerald to his old position.
Also unanimously elected was Mike Ellis, a Neenah Republican, as Senate president. He held that post until the recalls.
