Merrill Pub Featured in New Book Submitted: 11/01/2012
Merrill - A pub in Merrill makes the history books.

One pub has owned the corner of Main and Genesee in Merrill since 1905.

Today, it's called Humphrey's Pub and its antiques and history have earned it a place in "Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin's Historic Bars & Breweries."

Original parts of the bar still exist like the tile floors, wood bar top, and ceiling. Current owner Beth Humphrey was thrilled and excited about the book entry.

She is currently working with the city to restore the building's store front.

The bar will appear on a documentary made by Wisconsin Public Television on November 12th.
