- The honorable Judge John Yackle has completed his training and took his oath of office in a Lincoln County Court.
Family, friends, Congressman & cousin Sean Duffy, and Representative Tom Tiffany applauded the newly appointed Judge Yackle.
A few jokes and good words were made from speakers like the Honorable Michael Hoover, Presiding Judge 3rd District of the Court of Appeals, during the investiture.
He explains the origins and meaning of the word, investiture.
"'In', as in yes I'm finally IN. 'Vest', as in bullet proof, you don't have to worry about any disgruntled clients turning you into the bar. 'Ah', the sigh of relief when a paycheck comes every two weeks like clockwork. 'Ture', as in it's sure nice to sit above all these people(laughter)."
"It's been a rewarding and wonderful career and I look forward to going on into this part of my career my judicial career. I promise to do the best that I possibly can to be impartial, to administer justice, so that the people in Lincoln County can have confidence in their court system." Judge Yackle thanked his father among many for his guidance and upbringing in law.
He says as a judge he will look solely on the facts to make his decisions.
Governor Walker had appointed Judge Yackle as an replacement for Judge Glenn Hartley.
