Former Waukesha Bearings Corp. Employee Charged with Embezzling Half a Million Dollars Submitted: 05/16/2012
Antigo - In one of the largest embezzlement cases Antigo authorities have on record, the F.B.I. agents are investigating a former Waukesha Bearings Corporation employer for stealing more than half a million dollars, according to Antigo Police.

The former Human Resource Director of Waukesha Bearings is accused of stealing $576,000 from the company over a 5 year period, said Antigo Police Captain Nate Musolff.

Susan D. Tatro, 43, was indicted last Tuesday for 30 counts of wire fraud.

Tatro worked for W-B-C between January 2006 and January 2011. During that time, she had full access to a Petty Cash Account at CoVantage Credit Union, according to the indictment filed by the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin.

According to court documents, Tatro wrote herself checks from the Petty Cash Account which she then cashed.

"Waukesha Bearings had initially made the complaint to us and we initiated an investigation. When we determined there were certainly some concerns there, the F.B.I. was involved. And basically from that point they handled this investigation," said Captain Musolff.

Tatro is scheduled to appear in district court June 7th.

If found guilty, she could receive a maximum prison sentence of 20 years as well as a fine of $250,000.
