Madison - A Rhinelander man is spending the next 15-years in prison for a gun crime.
27 year old Jay Lloyd was sentenced yesterday in federal court for unlawfully possessing firearms as a felon.
The U.S. attorney's office for Western Wisconsin says Lloyd was among those who stole numerous guns from a Rhinelander home last September.
Lloyd pawned two of the guns in Eagle River.
The pawn shop owner thought the guns might be stolen and called police.
Lloyd fled, but was captured a few days later.
A federal judge decided on the 15 year sentence because Lloyd has three prior violent felony convictions.
That classifies him as a career criminal under federal law.
There is no possibility of parole on the 15-year federal sentence.
