STEVENS POINT - The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association board has voted to keep the boys state basketball tournament in Madison but move the girls basketball
tournament to Green Bay.
WLUK-TV reports the board decided Tuesday to move the girls tournament to Resch Center for the next two years and keep the boys tournament in Madison through 2020.
The WIAA had been considering the move because Kohl Center in Madison may have scheduling conflicts with Big Ten hockey.
One weekend - the second in March - is available, so the boys tournament remains at Kohl Center.
The girls tournament was moved to the third week of March at Resch Center.
The boys tournament has been held in Madison for 92 years. The girls tournament had been in Madison since it began in 1976.
