Harley's Heroes Submitted: 06/04/2011
Arbor Vitae - Harley-Davidson sponsors Harley's Heroes through the Disabled American Veterans, or DAV, which provides information and support for vets to receive their Veterans Affairs benefits.

Doug Klumbof Northern Lights Harley-Davidson says he discovered the program at a dealer show last summer and booked it right away.

It offers free counseling for vets to understand and use all of their benefits, "Harley Davidson has been very generous. They put a million dollars into this program a couple years ago and they just put another million dollars into it to fund these guys coming out to dealerships and providing the service."

Matthew Seidl represents the DAV as a counselor and says this mission means a lot to him, "I'm a veteran myself and got out, got in this line of work and I enjoy it every single day. Nothing better than helping out fellow veterans."

More than 300 Harley-Davidson dealerships have participated in Harley's Heroes since it began in 2007.
