Mount Horeb - A man is arrested after stealing an ambulance while medics were trying to treat a patient inside.

The incident happened at the Tyrol Basin Ski and Snowboard Area in Mount Horeb Tuesday.

Dane County deputies arrested 24-year-old Nicholas Pontillo.

They say Pontillo was drunk when he jumped into the driver's seat of the ambulance and drove it around a parking lot.
The ambulance's emergency brake was on and paramedics were still in the back when the man got inside.

The sheriff's department won't say the condition of the patient who was being treated inside the ambulance at the time.
