Kalia's Candied Yams

1 large yam
1 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of nutmeg, cinnamon & allspice
1/2 cup of water
1 stick of butter
Dash of vanilla


Slice the yam long ways or in circles.
Place yams in small saucepan with water. Add in yam over medium heat.

Slice stick of butter, add to yams and water, add brown sugar. Heat on High.

While the brown sugar and butter are thickening, stir in nutmeg, cinnamon, and allaspice.

Cook until yams are tender and/or glaze is thickened. Let cool. Serve & enjoy!
