- There was a 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer run in Minocqua Saturday morning.
Many people know Beef-A-Rama for the amount of beef sold on the streets of Minocqua.
But, this morning, runners gathered to not only raise money, but to burn calories before a day of eating.
The 11th Annual Rump Roast Run raises money for the local Rotary Club. They sponsor projects around town.
"What we are raising money for today is our rotary foundation, which funds things like scholarships, we offer 6 scholarships a year to Lakeland High School," said Commander in Beef of the Rump Roast Run Steve Petersen.
More than 1000 runners came out for the run.
And, some of them were under the age of 12. They ran in the calf mile.
"I thought it was fun. And, I thought I could get a little exercise," said calf mile runner Sam Groth.
