- A Wabeno man acussed of tossing a toddler across the room pleads guilty to felony child abuse.
30 year old Brandon Brunette agreed to a plea deal Tuesday morning in Forest County Circuit Court.
He hurt the child last October.
It's believed the boy will never walk or talk again.
Brunette pled guilty to felony child abuse, and in exchange other charges will be dropped.
The state will be allowed to file a homicide charge against Brunette if the child dies within a year of when he was hurt.
Brunette was babysitting when the child was injured.
Police testified that Brunette admitted throwing the child about 12-to-15 feet after the boy screamed at him.
Brunette will be sentenced October 14th.
The boy's mother, 26 year old Jennifer Shepard of Wabeno, has also been charged.
She's accused of trying to help cover for Brunette.
