- First place in the Great Northern Conference could be decided Thursday night in Antigo.
That's where the first place Red Robins will take on the second place Mosinee Indians.
Antigo comes into the game undefeated at 10-0. Mosinee is right on their heels at 9-0-1.
Both teams need a win to maintain control of the conference.
"It's going to be a big matchup for us," says Mosinee senior forward Matthew Sprink. "Obviously we have to win it to stay in the competition for the GNC, so it's going to be a big game."
Antigo is the defending champion of the GNC, but Mosinee welcomes the challenge.
"It's really good to have the good competition and play tough teams like that," says Mosinee senior defenseman William Sprink. "It really shows and makes our team play to our potential."
The winner Thursday will decide first place, but both Northland Pines and Waupaca are only a couple of games back.
