Search for missing man in Adams CountySubmitted: 06/27/2017
ADAMS COUNTY - Police are asking for help finding an Illinois man who disappeared while out for a walk in Adams County.

59 year old William Sheeran was last seen near a boat landing on Browndeer Avenue in the Adams County Town of Monroe.

He had been staying at a residence about three miles from there when he said he was going out for a walk about 3:45 p.m. Friday.

Family reported him missing when Sheeran had not returned by 7:00 p.m.

About that time, a member of the public said they saw someone who matched Sheeran's description in the area of the boat landing.

Sheeran had no cell phone with him, and very little cash.

His credit cards are being monitored for activity.

Anyone with information should call the Adams County Sheriff's Department.
