Two dead after Adams County shooting, fires Submitted: 08/03/2015
BIG FLATS - The Adams County Sheriff's Office believes a 62-year-old man set a mobile home on fire in Big Flats, north of Friendship, last Friday. The Sheriff's Office says that the body of the man's 92-year-old mother was likely still inside at the time, dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

Adams County Sheriff Sam Wollin believes Frank Krueger also set a car, a camper, and several other buildings on fire before shooting and killing himself.

Investigators still need DNA results to confirm the identity of the body found inside the mobile home.

The fire and deaths are still under investigation.

Three representatives from La Pointe met with Iron County leaders, including the county's economic development chief and three county board members, last week in Hurley. La Pointe wanted to gauge the county's interest in seeing a new mine operator get involved on the land.
