Wausau police investigating suspicious death as homicideSubmitted: 02/20/2018
WAUSAU - Wausau police believe a dead man may have been killed.  In a press release, the Wausau Police Department says officers responded to reports of a dead body in the 1000 block of Kickbusch Street on Tuesday around 10 a.m.

Investigators noted "suspicious circumstances" with the death.  The department is investigating the case as a homicide.

Deputy Chief Ben Bliven tells Newswatch 12 police do not have any suspects under arrest as of 12:50 p.m.  Bliven also did not release how the man died.

Bliven asked for anyone with information about the death to contact the Wausau Police Department at 715-261-7800. Bliven also asked people to stay away from Kickbusch and N. 10th streets during the investigation.

"All of our available resources are deployed so we can investigate fully, determine cause of death, and bring any perpetrator(s) to justice swiftly," Bliven said in the release.

Police plan to release more information about the case Tuesday night.
