CRANDON - The Northwoods saw some beautiful weather Saturday, and for some people, that good weather means good food.
Palubicki's Eats and Treats in Crandon is open again for the season.
"It takes about three or four days and seven or eight of us to get it going," says Palubicki's Eats and Treats owner Sue Palubicki.
Sue Palubicki and her husband Larry have owned Eats and Treats for nine years.
The previous owner ran the business for 34 years.
"It's a solid foundation of Crandon," Palubicki says.
A lot has changed since it first opened.
"We started out with chocolate, vanilla, and twist. We're now up to 50 flavors," says Palubicki.
The business tries to serve those flavors until the fall. Owners want to keep it open as long as possible.
"I try to stay open until the end of October. I've never made it, my goal is to make it to Halloween but the snow always kills me," Palubicki says.
Owners say they have great service.
"My employees are outstanding. Most of them have been with me since, for nine years, they start when they're 14, then I try to hire their family members," Palubicki says.
