- The Packers will look to a rookie center to replace JC Tretter for the time being. Tretter is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
There's only one preseason game left to get Center Corey Linsley up to speed. Quarterback Aaron Rogers doesn't see any issues with the task.
"They're well coached in the offensive line room," Rodgers said. "Those guys have taken a lot of reps in the indoor stuff and in the walk-through, so they know our tempo."
The Packers will have to pick the pace up with Linsley.
"It's going to be a sped-up process, obviously, with Corey getting him up to speed," Rodgers said. "But there's an expectation that when you are with the first team that you're going to play well and pick up where the last guy left off."
The rookie will fortunately be surrounded by experienced players. They will help Linsley along the way.
"It's like I said with JC early on: The luxury of being a center on this offense, you're playing with myself. I've been with this offense for 10 years," Rodgers said. "You're playing with two of the smartest guards and most talented guys in the league with Josh and TJ."
The Packers will play their final preseason game on Thursday.
