BOULDER JUNCTION - Deputies want to know what caused a pilot to crash while landing a plane at the Boulder Junction Airport on Sunday morning.

Vilas County deputies say the pilot was part of the Musky Day Fly-In hosted by the Boulder Junction Airport. The pilot crashed into the tree line on the edge of the airport while landing.

Deputies say the pilot suffered facial and leg injuries. He was taken to the Howard Young Medical Center. We don't know his condition at this time.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the Vilas County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the crash.
