- For the second weekend in a row, anglers tried their luck at musky fishing in Eagle River. The Professional Musky Tournament Trail took over the waters for the thirteen straight year.
110 teams fished the Eagle River chain over the two-day tournament. A total of 62 muskies were caught and released.
The largest musky over the weekend, measured 44 and three quarters inches.
The PMTT director explained that the Eagle River area is a very desirable location for their tournament.
First place went to Nate Osfar of Marathon and Matt Raley of Arbor Vitae. They won catching 3 muskies using bucktails and took home more than sixteen thousand dollars!
