Northland Pines, Tomahawk take Hatchet Invite Submitted: 05/13/2014
TOMAHAWK - In high school track and field Tuesday, Tomahawk was hosting the Hatchet Invite. Some folks had blankets and winter gear to watch the action. In the girls 3200 meter relay, Tomahawk won the event, finishing in 11 Minutes, 2 seconds. It was the same story in the boys 3200 meter relay. Bryan Tomek put the finishing touches for the Hatchets victory. Tomahawk finished in 8 minutes, 58 seconds.

In the girls high jump, Rhinelander's Kayla Wenos won the event with a leap of 9 feet. Shania St. Germaine of Mercer finished eighth. Team results, Tomahawk won the girls team title. Mercer was second, Northland Pines third. On the boys side, Northland Pines won. Hurley was second, Tomahawk was third.
