- Six young race car drivers with big dreams earned quite an honor. One of them
is from Eagle River.
Paige Decker was selected among nearly 100 women and minority drivers for
NASCAR's Drive for Diversity program.
Drive for Diversity is the leading youth development program for multicultural
and female drivers.
Decker was the only woman selected for the program.
She will compete in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series beginning in March.
That will be Newton, North Carolina.
Recently, Paige won Rookie of the Year honors for the Tundra Super Late Model
series she competed in last year.
Paige along with her sister Claire and their cousin Natalie raced together last
summer in Central Wisconsin.
Paige Decker took part in the Drive for Diversity combine last year. She was
not selected for last year's program.
