Celebrating Veterans Day in Rhinelander Submitted: 11/11/2013
RHINELANDER - Veterans served our country to protect our freedoms. Today we honor those who made the sacrifice. Earlier today people gathered at the Oneida County Courthouse to pay tribute to our veterans.

"Freedom means I can speak what I feel like as long as it's under control and freedom of religion, and freedom to be with other people, and other races without having a lot of problems," says Bonita Hale, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Sixth through eighth graders from Nativity of our Lord school took part in the ceremony. They sang two songs, including the Star Spangled Banner.
