- A new poll says Wisconsin Republicans prefer to see Congressman Paul Ryan run for the White House. In a hypothetical nine-way primary, voters preferred the former vice-presidential candidate at a 27 percent rate. Governor Walker was next in the poll by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling. The Governor came in at 14 percent. Head-to-head, Ryan also performed better, favored at a 47-38 margin.
Hillary Clinton was by far tops among Wisconsin Democrats at 50 percent. Former Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold was next at 20 percent. Clinton led every Republican she was paired with in the poll, except Ryan. The two tied at 46 percent in a hypothetical match-up.
