Police were searching for man who died in crash Submitted: 09/04/2013
SHAWANO - Police were looking for a Menasha man who died when his SUV slammed into a semi in Shawano county. 35-year-old Keith Carpenter was wanted in connection with a domestic disturbance. He was dead at the scene of the collision early Tuesday on Highway 29. While deputies were investigating the crash, Menasha police were looking for Carpenter on a report of a domestic disturbance a few hours earlier.

Witnesses say Carpenter's SUV turned off its lights moments before slamming into the semi. The collision resulted in a large spill of diesel fuel. The SUV caught fire and burned until fire officials put it out. Highway 29 was closed for about six hours in both directions. (Copyright 2013 Associated Press - All Rights Reserved)
