- Governor Scott Walker hopes ``cooler heads will prevail'' at the site of a proposed iron ore mine in northern Wisconsin.
Masked guards wearing camouflage and armed with rifles were posted at the mining site last week.
Later they were removed because the Arizona company did not have the proper Wisconsin licenses.
The guards were hired by mining company Gogebic Taconite after protesters confronted mine workers last month.
Walker said yesterday there is no place for that type of behavior in Wisconsin.
He spoke with the county sheriff and he believes law enforcement in the area can keep things under control.
