Mine protestor gets signature bond in court appearance Submitted: 07/16/2013
HURLEY - A woman charged with crimes after a mining protest gets released on a signature bond. 26 year old Katie Kloth, of Stevens Point, made an initial appearance in Iron County Circuit Court Monday afternoon. A 5-thousand dollar signature bond was set. Kloth is charged with robbery by use of force and three misdemeanors.

Kloth was accused of being involved in a June 11th with workers at the site of Gogebic Taconite's proposed mine in Ashland and Iron Counties. She was accused of stealing a camera from a worker as she protested Gogebic Taconite's mining plans. (Copyright 2013 Associated Press - All Rights Reserved)
