Merrill, Antigo advance in Little League playoffs Submitted: 07/09/2013
WAUSAU - Little League players had to avoid the raindrops in Wausau Tuesday night. In the 11-12 year old District 5 playoffs, Rhinelander faced Merrill. Eric Grulke hit his first career home run for Rhinelander in the first inning. It gave the Hodags a 2-0 lead. Bottom of the second, Merrill's Kobe Blake hit a home run to tie the game. Later in the inning, Kordell Renken belted a grand slam. 5 different Blue Jays went long, and Merrill gets the 19-9 win in 4 innings.

Later, Antigo took on the Wausau Nationals. Antigo's C.J. Levis belted one of his two home runs in the bottom of the first. In the second inning, Sebastian Noskowiak was dealing, he struck out the side and would get the win. Antigo won 10-2 and will play in the championship game Thursday night.
