- Five years ago, an 11-year-old from Weston named Madeline Neumann got a deadly version of diabetes.
Instead of taking her to a doctor, her parents only prayed for her.
When she died in March 2008, Dale and Leilani Neumann were convicted of reckless homicide.
Since then, appeals from the Neumanns have worked their way to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
The Neumanns claim they're protected under the state's faith-healing exemptions.
The Supreme Court heard their case in December.
They've now decided which side is right, and which is wrong.
The Supreme Court will release their final opinion on the case tomorrow.
We'll bring you the update as soon as we know it here on NW 12.
