Teams will play on a running clock once the lead for one team reaches 40 points in the fourth period.
The running clock will continue through the end of the game no matter the score.
In hockey, the maximum game limit changed from 20 to 24 beginning next season.
In wrestling, the Division 1 semifinals will be moved from Saturday morning to Friday at 7:30 p.m., which will follow the quarterfinals.
