- Ask any fisherman and they'll tell you, catching a musky takes patience. But when you're in a tournament, you also need a little luck.
There are 74 teams competing in the weekend spring classic on the Eagle River chain. When a musky bites a judge is called over to the boat to help measure it, get a quick picture, and then the fish is released.
Today 24 muskies were caught and 11 of them were 40 inches or longer.
The thrill of the catch, is something people are happy to describe.
The 33rd Annual Classic concludes on Sunday.
