- More police and sheriff's departments than ever before will make sure your seatbelt is buckled on the roads.Next week kicks of Wisconsin's Click It or Ticket enforcement push.More than four hundred agencies will participate across the state. That includes two police departments and the Sheriff in Price County.
"It's a span, usually end of May, first part of June, through the holiday weekend where we have extra enforcements. We're certainly watching out for seat belt violations. It's the time of the year where we like to be seen by the motorists and kind of give them those reminders that seat belt use is very important and saves a lot of lives every year," says Price County Chief Deputy Brian Rouse.Since 2009, wearing a seat belt has been a primary enforcement law in Wisconsin. That means an officer can pull you over just for not wearing it.
