Million Dollar Bond in Wausau Murder Submitted: 04/23/2013
WAUSAU - A man accused of murder in Wausau won't be leaving the city any time soon. Kou Thao is being held on a 1-million dollar bond A criminal complaint says he shot 58-year-old Tong Pao Hang, in April. Hang is from St. Paul, Minnesota, but it appears he was killed in a Wausau basement. Thao then allegedly wrapped Hang's body in a tarp, loaded it in a car and drove to Milwaukee.

Officers found Thao's car in Milwaukee the following day. When they knocked on the door Thao ran, but the did catch and arrest him. Detectives searched that house and found body parts, a knife and a tarp. They're not commenting on a possible motive in the slaying. Thao's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 1st.
