- The Northland Pines girls hockey team for the second straight year was in the section final. And for the second straight year - they faced the D-C Everest Co-op - known as the Central Wisconsin Storm in Tomahawk.
The result was also too familiar. Northland Pines fell 4-1 in the final. After scoring the first goal of the game, the Eagles allowed four unanswered.
Alex Guenther scored two of the four goals for the defending state champs.
Northland Pines finishes the year at (14-9-1). The Central Wisconsin Storm head to Madison with a (24-1-1) record.
