ARMSTRONG CREEK - An Armstong Creek woman and child got out safely Sunday night after her husband fired a gun in their home.

Forrest Schaller is being held for attempted first degree homicide in the Crandon jail.

Police say he pointed a gun at his wife and later fired a shot in their home near Armstrong Creek.

Forest County Deputies talked Schaller into leaving the house peacefully.

The woman and child were found safe, and Schaller was arrested.
