- A snowmobiler who'd been missing in the Superior area since Saturday has been found. He's safe but suffering from effects of the cold.
Superior police say 51-year-old Craig Friebe was found Monday morning on the ice of the Nemadji River.
He was taken to a hospital with symptoms of frostbite and hypothermia.
Friebe said his snowmobile ran out of gas so he started walking. It isn't clear for how long. He was found about 20 miles from where he'd last been seen.
Friebe got lost as the coldest temperatures of the season settled across the region. Low temperatures in Superior were below zero Sunday night.
