MOSINEE - Wausau Paper announced today it plans to sell three of its mills in the near future, including Rhinelander's mill.
The other two include the mills in Mosinee and Brainerd, Minnesota.
That's according to a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The company is looking to shift its focus to the tissue business.
Wausau Paper closed its oldest mill in Brokaw last year. That move eliminated 450 jobs.
Wausau Paper will begin looking for potential buyers of those mills.
Company representatives said they cannot comment on timing or terms of any transaction.
