- A propane tanker crashed into a car at 9:30 this morning in Rhinelander. A woman and a child were taken to the hospital. The crash slowed traffic for about 30 minutes around the intersection of 17 and County Road P in Rhinelander.
The propane tanker was headed north on 17 when it hit the car. The passenger side of the car and the cab of the tanker suffered the most damage.
"There is no leakage at all. We were very lucky with that," said Norman Peterson, Pelican Deputy Fire Chief, with regards to the tanker.
The woman driving the car and a child in the back seat were taken to St. Mary's hospital. The child was properly buckled into a car seat.
