- Rhinelander seniors and people with disabilities can take advantage of an easy transportation option to get around town.
The Oneida County Department on Aging provides a Senior Bus to take people where they need to go.
The bus costs just two dollars each ride, and can be set up to take seniors right from home to shopping, appointments, and visits.
Even for those still driving, the bus can be a more convenient option, especially in winter.
"We all know that on some days where it's extra icy, or you're just not sure what's happening, call, reserve the bus. A lot of people, once they try it, they find not only is it more convenient, it's more fun. You're with other people, you've got people helping you," says Dianne Jacobson at the Department on Aging.
The bus includes ramps and lifts for people who need extra help.
You can learn more or reserve the bus by calling (715)365-6170.
