WASHINGTON, D.C. - You'll find new faces, and perhaps some new perspectives Thursday on Capitol Hill. The 113th Congress met for the first time.
All re-elected and newly elected lawmakers take the oath of office and were sworn in. That includes Senator Tammy Baldwin from Wisconsin.
Baldwin beat out Tommy Thompson in November to become the state's first female senator and the nation's first openly gay senator.
Vice President Joe Biden issued the oath of office. The senators signed the oath book.
Democrats tightened their grip on the Senate with a 55-45 edge following the November elections.
