Oneida County Wants Your Artwork To Help Fight AIS Submitted: 12/27/2012
RHINELANDER - Artwork and the fight against A-I-S work hand-in-hand.

That's because the Oneida County Aquatic Invasive Species program wants kids to submit posters and photos.

It's geared toward students in Oneida County and the surrounding areas.

You can pick a topic and create artwork or submit pictures.

Oneida County AIS Coordinator Michele Sadauskas wants to get more people involved.

"Last year we debuted the poster contest," Sadauskas said.

"This year is our second annual we're looking for lots more students and teachers participating. And home schooled kids just as well. Students don't have to have a teacher or a formal class that you have to be in. Just a student in the area, we'd love to see your artwork and learn a little more about aquatic invasive species."

Sadauskas says it's important to get young people involved in the fight against AIS.
