- Allowing beer sales in Rhinelander gas stations moves one step closer to law after Monday night's City Council meeting.
Right now, the city is among only a few places in Wisconsin not allowing beer sales in gas stations.
The City Council unanimously sent a proposal to change that forward tonight.
A public hearing and final vote is now set for January 14th.
Kwik Trip is considering building two or three stores within the city, but only if they can sell beer.
The council also advanced a plan to allow minors in bars for some all-ages events.
Liquor sales would have to shut down during those events, and the police chief would review each one.
That will also go to a public hearing and vote next month.
