Deep Snow in Parts of Wisconsin Submitted: 12/10/2012
EAU CLAIRE - We saw several inches of snow in the northwoods, but mother nature piled it on deeper in other parts of the state.

Snow plow drivers worked to clear roads of more than a foot of snow that fell in western Wisconsin.

Some school districts canceled classes Monday, including Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire and Barron.

Heavy, steady snow Sunday fell across Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with totals lighter south of the Chippewa Valley.

The snowy weather caused a number of accidents.

A semi was jacknifed on Interstate 94.

That closed traffic in the westbound lane around 2 a.m. this morning. The storm had less of an impact in southern Wisconsin.

The Dane County Regional Airport had about 3 inches of snow Sunday night.
