- One man died in a Rhinelander house fire Wednesday.
His wife was hurt in the fire, but she's now been released from the hospital.
The Rhinelander Fire department told us today their names are Esther and Robert Fischer.
The fire on Maple Street started Wednesday morning.
Robert Fischer was home at the time, and he couldn't get out of the house.
He was in the front of the house, which was fully engulfed when firefighters got there.
Esther Fischer did get out.
She was taken to St. Mary's hospital in Rhinelander, and then transferred to University Hospital in Madison.
The Rhinelander Fire department says she has since been released, and is doing well.
The fire department hasn't finished their investigation, but they've ruled out any foul play.
