- About a month ago, Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast and last week we told you about a Northwoods group that hasn't forgotten.
St. Mary's Church in Tomahawk started a coat drive. It helps a Long Island, New York Parish that was hit hard by the storm.
"I was blown away, and that there is no way to count it at this point. So when we start boxing it up, getting it ready for shipping and bagging, then I think we'll count it, but it's amazing! There's tons! It's great!" said Ann Pintens, Coat Drive Coordinator.
While the church is doing well in getting coats, it still needs your help.
"We need some donations and if they could make some donations that would help with shipping, that would be wonderful. Or if there are any truckers out there that could possible lend us a hand," says Pintens.
If you can help out with shipping in anyway, visit the link to St. Mary's to get in contact with the church.
