Rhinelander hockey, Three Lakes girls hoops suffer home defeats Submitted: 11/29/2012
RHINELANDER, THREE LAKES - In boys hockey, Chequamegon-Phillips was in Rhinelander last night.

In the first period, Rhinelander was on a power play - but it was Chequamegon controlling the puck. Josh Lemke would score the first of his two goals in the period.

Later in the first period, SEaLs (Screaming Eagles and Loggers) with the Power Play. Pierce Pluemer scored a rebound goal - He also had 2 goals. It was 4-0 after the first.

It proved to be more than enough for goalie Kirsten Pechacek. She allowed only one goal.


Chequamegon/Phillips rolled over Rhinelander 9-1. SEaLs improved to (2-0). Hodags fell to (0-2).

In girls basketball Thursday night, Wabeno traveled to Three Lakes.

In the third quarter, Wabeno made several offensive rebounds before Ceanne Harrison finally scored the bucket.

Three Lakes junior Payton Radaj had a shinning moment for the Bluejays. She came up with a steal and went all the way for a layup.

Wabeno however was too much. The Lady Logrollers went on to win 48-31.
